The INSULAE project will be exhibited to the public for the first time at the University of Girona. 'Poetic Island Cartographies' will be on display at the Àligues Library in the Barri Vell (Old Quarter) from February 9th to March 8th, 2026.
The exhibition features seven representative pieces created between 2021 and the end of 2025, including 'Splash,' the project's first map, related to swimming, and 'Gironation: Expats,' which explores the rise of cycling in the Girona region and uses English as the working language.
The other five pieces are 'Banyoles Around the World,' a tribute to the capital of the Pla de l'Estany region; 'Porn,' which deals with sexual relations; 'Gulped of renegades and insults' which emphasizes the richness of the Catalan language in this area; and 'Lichtenstein Explosions,' which reviews prominent artists from the history of art, both internationally and locally. Finally, 'Music' offers a journey through musical tastes.
